Fugl faller

Verdens siste fugl bakser seg inn på en liten bar ved universets ende. Der står en fortapt astronaut og mikser musikk og drinker. Ned i glassets tomhet, og med astronauten og publikum som vitner, synger fuglen sin historie. Fuglen synger om fugler som faller fra himmelen. Den synger med forundring, fascinasjon og forakt for menneskenes uvitenhet. Den synger om alt som forsvinner.
Dette er en apokalyptisk figurteatersaga om en verden i brann, døende fugler og en hel masse mennesker som tror de har forklaringen på naturens adferd.

I 2011 falt tusenvis av fugler plutselig og på uforklarlig vis ned fra himmelen. Hendelsene startet et hav av forklaringer – pseudovitenskapelige, konspirasjonsteoretiske, anekdotiske og mytologiske.
Forestillingen er utviket gjennom et residensopphold på Jakob Sande – senter for forteljarkunst, Dramatikkens Hus og Tårnby Park Studio. Den er støttet av Kulturådet, FFUK og Fossekleiva kultursenter.

The world’s last bird backs into a small bar at the end of the universe. There stands a lost astronaut mixing music and drinks. Down in the emptiness of the glass, and with the astronaut and the audience as witnesses, the bird sings its story. The bird sings about birds falling from the sky. It sings with amazement, fascination and contempt for human ignorance. It sings about everything that disappears.
This is an apocalyptic puppet theatre saga about a world on fire, dying birds and a whole lot of people who believe they have the explanation for nature’s behavior.
In 2011, thousands of birds suddenly and inexplicably fell from the sky. The events started a sea of ​​explanations – pseudoscientific, conspiracy theoretic, anecdotal and mythological.
The performance was developed through a residency at Jakob Sande – Centre for Narrative Art, Dramatikkens Hus and Tårnby Park Studio. It is supported by the Norwegian Arts Council, FFUK and Fossekleiva kultursenter.
