Filmmaker Jordan Barclay captures Titzer’s quest as he returns to his hometown of Evansville\, Indiana. Watch as he navigates the local landscape\, delving into hoarders’ trash\, scouring dumpsters\, and exploring flea markets to unearth materials that assemble into a room-sized\, interactive installation. DESCRIPTION:Kevin Titzer har vist sine særegne skulpturelle verk over hele verden siden han ble uteksaminert fra University of Indiana i 1997. Han har laget stedsspesifikke installasjoner under Artist Residencies på en rekke steder\, inkludert «All the letters I never wrote» på Fossekleiva i 2019. Kevins kunst er I krysningspunktet mellom figurteater og skulptur\, og hans arbeid er høyt elsket i figurteaterverdenen. Han skapte rekvisitter og figurer for «Mémoires d’un Sablier»\, et samarbeid mellom kompaniene La Tortue Noire (Quebec) og Luna Morena (Mexico). Forestillingen hadde verdenspremiere på Festival Mondial des Théâtres de Marionnettes i Charleville-Mézières. \nTeatersalen 3.oktober – 17.november \nKevin Titzer has exhibited his unique sculptural work across the world since graduating from University of Indiana in 1997. In Kevin’s art puppetry meets sculpture\, and his work much loved in the puppetry world. He created props and puppets for “Mémoires d’un Sablier”\, a collaboration between the puppet troupes La Tortue Noire (Quebec) & Luna Morena (Mexico)\, which premiered at the Festival Mondial des Théâtres de Marionnettes in Charleville-Mézières.

Forestillingen kombinerer levende skulptur\, tegning\, objekt manipulasjon og lydskaping. Forestillingen spilles av Aurélien Zouki og Eric Deniaud fra Collectif Kahraba\, et kompani som består av kunstnere og teknikere med mange ulike bakgrunner som tror fast på kunsten som en vei til kommunikasjon og åpenhet. \nFor voksne. Since 2007\, he has toured the globe with his captivating one-man puppet shows\, performing across six continents. His artistry has earned him prestigious awards worldwide and cemented his reputation as a pioneer in the world of puppetry.\nBence is proud to have been the first Hungarian solo puppeteer to perform two of his shows in the “IN” program of the Festival Mondial des Théâtres de Marionnettes in Charleville-Mézières\, widely regarded as one of the most prestigious events in puppetry. DESCRIPTION:Opposable Thumb Theatre will be leading a short\, sharp shock workshop in ‘Cluppetry’\nWhat’s ‘Cluppetry’? you ask.\nWell it’s a heady mixture of clown & puppetry. \nTogether Adam Blake (Open Attic and Wyldwood Arts) & Dik Downey (Pickled Image and Green Ginger) will impart years of experience in clowning and puppetry in one big \, experiential blob.\nWe take classic clowning workshop exercises and age old puppetry techniques and chuck them into a theatrical blender and marvel at the ‘Cluppetry’ that emerges. \nThese workshops will incorporate clowning games such as status hierarchy\, imitation/exaggeration and embracing your failures\, as well as looking at the intricacies of puppetry\, like breath\, focus and movement. Then we examine the role of puppeteer versus clown\, clown as puppet\, puppet as clown and everything in between. Varighet 1 time. \nForestillingen spilles på Berger gård. \n  \nThe performance follows a shepherd and his flock. Along with the story of the shepherd\, we follow the story of wool from sheep gathering\, through shearing\, soaking\, drying\, combing to spinning and knitting.\nWool as a material in various stages of processing is a central part of the performance\, together with weaving and sheep bones that shape landscapes and figures throughout the performance.\nThe Third Field is a young Czech company that works at the intersection of visual art\, workshop and puppet theater.\nInteractive performance for children. DESCRIPTION:Møt Bydyra! I 2017 ga progbandet Tusmørke ut ei barneplate om Kråka\, Ekornet og Grevlingens reise fra den ødelagte skogen til den store byen (den forstenede skogen\, for de som veit). I byen prøver dyra å få de nye livene sine til å funke. Det er mye å undre seg over i menneskenes verden. Bydyra forstår snart at folk har mer å lære av dem enn omvendt.\nTusmørke har gitt ut enda to plater for barn og spilt konserter over hele landet der de dramatiserer deler av handlingen og spiller et utvalg av låtene fra skiva. Tusmørke spiller i kostymer og appellerer til både voksne og barn i alle aldre. Tekstene har et tydelig budskap om miljøvern og dyrevelferd.

DESCRIPTION:What is the situation for puppeteers and theatre artists in Ukraine and Palestine? \nIntroductions by Dr.Daria Ivanovna-Hololobova (Unima Ukraine)\, Marina Barham (Director of Al-Harah theatre in Hebron) and Husam Abed (Dafa Theatre and artist at FiF). \nDr.Daria Ivanovna-Hololobovna is a director\, cultural manager and researcher. She is President of Unima Ukraine. Lecturer at Kyiv National I.K. Karpenko-Karyi University of Theatre. Expert of Ukrainian Cultural Foundation. Researcher at Heinrich heine University in Düsseldorf. Curator and participant of international artistic and educational projects. \nMarina Barham is co-founder and General Director of Al-Harah Theater and has been an active cultural operator in Palestine\, the Middle East and Europe since 1998. She was President of the Palestinian Performing Arts Network from 2019-2021. Alongside producing theatre productions\, for the last 23 years\, she has managed international\, regional & local tours and Euro Med Projects\, and curated Palestine International Theater Festival for Children & Youth\, Yalla Yalla Street Festival and Bethlehem Site-Specific Theatre Festival in Palestine. Al-Harah Theater believes that theatre has the potential to change the lives of those who make it and those who watch it. \nHusam Abed is a Palestinian Jordanian versatile artist with multilayered projects in his art career. He is a theatre creator\, director\, performer\, puppeteer\, musician and producer living in Prague\, Czech Republic. He started his practice-based research PhD at Bath Spa University/UK. He holds a Master of directing for Drama and theatre at Alternative and Puppet Theatre faculty/ Academy of Performing Arts/Czech Republic. He is known for his puppet theatre work under: Dafa Puppet Theatre\, a multi-awarded theatre company based in Prague. Dafa was co-founded by Husam Abed and his wife\, a Hungarian puppeteer and stage designer Reka Deak in 2015. As a community theatre maker and facilitator\, he believes in theatre as a public practice\, a tool for social change\, for rewriting personal and collective history and for finding new narrations. Theatre for him is a style of life and existence more than an art form: a medium for expression\, communication\, inclusion and connecting through differences. The themes and visions in his work focused on exile\, war\, home\, dreams\, man vs nature\, family relations\, human relations’ cruelty and daily struggles. \nAt 18.00 Husam Abed is performing «War maker». DESCRIPTION:Verdens siste fugl bakser seg inn på en liten bar ved universets ende. Der står en fortapt astronaut og mikser musikk og drinker. Ned i glassets tomhet\, og med astronauten og publikum som vitner\, synger fuglen sin historie. Fuglen synger om fugler som faller fra himmelen. Den synger med forundring\, fascinasjon og forakt for menneskenes uvitenhet. Den synger om alt som forsvinner.\nDette er en apokalyptisk figurteatersaga om en verden i brann\, døende fugler og en hel masse mennesker som tror de har forklaringen på naturens adferd. \nI 2011 falt tusenvis av fugler plutselig og på uforklarlig vis ned fra himmelen. SUMMARY:The form of light
DESCRIPTION:Exploring the form and other qualities of light in puppetry and visual theatre. \nThe workshop will be held in English. \nJarkko Forsman is one of Finland’s most prominent lighting designers specializing in puppetry. \nHe has designed lighting for dozens of trailblazing puppetry performances and has been an essential factor in the development of contemporary Finnish puppetry. \nForsman has also designed lighting for immersive and site specific theatre\, operas\, dance performances\, festivals and exhibitions. He has also worked as set designer\, performer\, videographer and light artist.  In 2021 Forsman won the State Award for Performing Arts as part of the artistic core team of Book of Rooms\, a gigantic\, immersive multisensory performance made by a group of one hundred artists. His  latest work\, Kindred machine is nominated for the honorary award of the Finnish Light\, Sound\, and Video Designers Association for the lighting design. \nIn his work\, Forsman explores the relationship between space and light\, the form and mass of light\, and other characteristics as part of dramaturgy of performance.
