Prosjektets kunstneriske ledelse er ved Eduardo Felix.\n«Historien om dagen vi forhindret verdens ende» er et skaperverksted som kulminerer i konstruksjonen av en mekanisk installasjon\, tenkt som et fiktivt monument over dagen menneskeheten klarte å forhindre verdens ende. \nProsjektet er basert på en tenkt retrospektiv fortelling: historien fortelles som om katastrofen allerede er unngått. Ikke som en heroisk seier\, men som en serie små gester\, gjentatte handlinger og skjøre kollektive anstrengelser – poetiske\, ironiske og noen ganger absurde.\nProsjektet er også konseptuelt inspirert av «Ideas to Postpone the End of the World» av Ailton Krenak\, som gjenspeiler ideen om at det å forestille seg andre fremtider – selv temporære eller skjøre – allerede er en politisk og poetisk handling. \nEduardo Felix er en teaterskulptør som arbeider på tvers av figurteater\, regi\, scenografi\, dramatisering\, skuespillermanipulasjon og kostymedesign. Han har en grad i skulptur fra Escola de Belas Artes ved UFMG og har vært aktiv i profesjonelt teater siden 2001. Han er grunnlegger og kunstnerisk leder av Pigmalião Escultura que Mexe\, hvor han utvikler sin kunstneriske forskning og pedagogiske praksis. We are living through a time of many crises\, and somehow the simple act of coming together to imagine how we might avoid the end of the world already feels like a way of postponing it. The Artistic direction of the project is by Eduardo Felix.\nThe Story of the Day We Prevented the End of the World is a creation workshop that culminates in the construction of a collective mechanical panel\, conceived as a fictional monument to the day humanity managed to prevent the end of the world.\nThe project is based on an imagined retrospective narrative: the story is told as if the catastrophe had already been avoided. Not as a heroic victory\, but as a series of small gestures\, repeated actions\, and fragile collective efforts — poetic\, ironic\, and sometimes absurd.\nThe project is also conceptually inspired by Ideas to Postpone the End of the World\, by Ailton Krenak\, echoing the idea that imagining other futures — even provisional or fragile ones — is already a political and poetic act.\nEduardo Felix is a theatrical sculptor working across puppetry\, directing\, scenography\, playwriting\, acting–manipulation and costume design. DESCRIPTION:  \nThe Swallowing of Contours er en levende\, interaktiv installasjon som kombinerer figurteater\, lyd og visuelle elementer i en totalopplevelse.\nGjennom hengende og sammenkoblede strukturer skapes et univers som er både konkret og surrealistisk. Ved å strekke seg mellom installasjon og teatralitet inviterer det publikum til å bevege seg fritt gjennom et fragmentert landskap der ulike fortellinger formes hos hver enkelt. \nLaurence Petitpas og Yana Ouellet begynte arbeidet med å utvikle denne forestillingen under sitt to måneders residensopphold i Fossekleiva høsten 2024. \nVarighet 45 minutter \nThe Swallowing of Contours is a living\, interactive installation that brings together puppetry\, visual and sound performances in an immersive experience.  \nThrough suspended and interconnected structures\, it explores shifts in scale and the latent life of the elements that compose it\, creating a universe that is both concrete and surreal. Bare ikke rør noe …\nThe GrooveGrocer er et 15-minutters kabaretnummer fremført av to dukkeførere og med både innspilt og levende musikk. \n  \n“I’m Lionel! Lionel the Vinyl\, or as some know me better by the name above my little shop…The GrooveGrocer\nYou kids have no idea\, with yer CDs and yer MP3s\, yer digital and yer figital. Tiny plastic cases with writing so small I can’t read the track titles.\nMusic used to come in one shape. Flat\, round and made of vinyl.\nI loves vinyl. And that’s why I loves my job so much. Here I am\, at the pointiest bit of the very sharp end of the entire music industry… Just me\, here in my little shop. \nAnd you can pop by anytime I’m open. DESCRIPTION:Drawing on international examples of puppetry and object theatre\, this talk shows how these forms can empower communities and amplify marginalized voices to imagine new ways of living together within and across societies. Focusing on works that build on alliances—especially between women and children—it highlights how puppetry can inspire more just and hopeful futures.\nKasia Lech is a puppeteer\, performer\, dramaturg\, and scholar whose work bridges theatre-making and research. An Associate Professor at the University of Amsterdam\, she explores puppetry\, multilingual performance\, translation\, and cross-cultural exchange through both practice and scholarship. Kasia has performed internationally and is a co-founder of Polish Theatre Ireland\, a Dublin-based multilingual company. She is also Executive Director of TheTheatreTimes.com\, a global platform dedicated to expanding and diversifying theatre criticism. \nMed utgangspunkt i internasjonale eksempler fra figurteater og objektteater tar dette foredraget for seg hvordan disse formene kan styrke lokalsamfunn og forsterke marginaliserte stemmer. Med fokus på verk som bygger på allianser – spesielt mellom kvinner og barn – fremhever Kasia Lech hvordan figurteater kan inspirere til en mer rettferdig og håpefull fremtid.\nKasia Lech er figurteaterkunstner\, utøver\, dramaturg og forsker hvis arbeid bygger bro mellom teaterskaping og forskning. Som førsteamanuensis ved Universitetet i Amsterdam utforsker hun figurteater\, flerspråklig fremføring\, oversettelse og tverrkulturell utveksling gjennom både praksis og forskning. DESCRIPTION:Dette er en interaktiv forestilling som belyser James Baldwins relevans gjennom hans litterære verk\, og som artikulerer samtidens globale skeive virkeligheter. Ved å flette sammen karakterer\, scener og tekster fra Baldwins essays\, romaner og manus\, tar forestillingen i bruk figurteater\, skuespill og musikk for å engasjere publikum i en dialog om skeive virkeligheter med flerkulturelle resonans i Norge i dag.\nEn dukke i naturlig størrelse som James Baldwin er en av aktørene i denne forestillingen. \n  \nThis is an interactive performance that brings to light the relevance of James Baldwins literary work in articulating contemporary global queer realities. Interlacing characters\, scenes and texts from Baldwins essays\, novels and scripts\, this performance uses puppetry\, acting and music to engage the audience in a dialogue about queer realities with their multicultural resonances in Norway today.  \nA life sized puppet of James Baldwin and a puppeteer along with other puppets and shadow puppetry enact what happens when love and self- knowledge are made impossible. \nBaldwins characters resonate the performers own reality which  is influenced by the relentless powers of racism\, casteism\, homophobia and transphobia disrupting the freedom to love\, and continue causing personal tragedy and social crimes with fatal consequences.\nVarun Narain is a queer puppeteer who blurs the boundaries between art and academics. They performs contemporary puppet shows inspired by nature\, mythology and interconnectedness. They designs and fabricates their own puppets\, as well as researches and scripts their performances. They also conducts workshops on puppet fabrication and manipulation using recycled materials and imagination. They has used their art to raise awareness around issues of gender and sexuality. Between 1994-2002\, Varun worked with UNESCO\, UNIFEM and a number of NGOs in India and Pakistan on HIV/AIDS and child abuse related issues.  \nThey conitinues to work with graduates from Universities and LGBTQI+ collectives. For the past few years they has been researching and exploring the queer interconnections in nature\, particularly between fungal mycelium and plant roots which inspires their work. \nThey is presently living and working in Oslo\, Norway\, where they came in 2023 as an artist in residence with Safemuse. \n
